Read the blocker before changing the item

A dated secondary equipment guide reports that some drops need appraisal before use. It separately describes level requirements and character-specific weapons and armor. Identification is therefore one check, not an explanation for every blocked item.

Three checks before equippingAtlas editorial reading order based on the cited equipment guide
  1. Item stateDoes the client say the item is unidentified?
  2. RequirementsRead its level, slot and character restrictions.
  3. Your choiceCompare the actual effect before equipping or removing it.

Use Identify, not Salvage

The sources describe identification at a Bonfire, or through Appraisal Fluffy in Fuzzy Village. At a lit Bonfire, open the menu and look for Identify. Read the current action label instead of relying on a historical menu position.

Follow the controls and any cost shown in your own client. These sources do not establish a current identification price, repeat-roll rule or guaranteed outcome.

Read the result as one observation

BEFOREUnidentified item

Keep the exact item context.

REPORTED ACTIONIdentify / Appraise

Follow the current cost and controls.

OBSERVATIONRead the result shown

Record the resulting item fields, not a target score.

Original Everness Atlas observation diagram based on a dated secondary equipment guide from July 27, 2026. One historical result showed 93; that does not establish probability, quality or a recommended target.

GameWith describes a dice-based appraisal that affects equipment stats. After identification, inspect the resulting item panel; this guide does not turn one screenshot into a probability table.

Editorial: record the item name and the stats actually shown if you want to compare it later. A large result number alone does not tell you whether it suits your character or objective.

If it still will not equip, read the requirement

MESSAGE REPORTEDLevel too low

One historical example, not a universal threshold.

CURRENT CHECKCharacter + item requirement

Read the values shown together in your client.

Original Everness Atlas requirement-reading diagram based on a dated secondary equipment guide from July 27, 2026. No universal item level or character threshold is inferred.

The displayed Level too low message points to a different issue from identification. Check your selected character against the requirement printed on that item.

  • Still unclear? Keep the item while you inspect the message; do not assume it is useless.
  • Ready to compare? Read the effect and any trade-off alongside your current equipment.
  • Unwanted after review? Use the Recycle versus Discard guide to choose the removal action deliberately.
