Choose by the result you want
A dated secondary equipment guide reports that recycling/selling returns Warren Gold Coins, while discarding does not. It lists Bonfires, Camp and the Mysterious Fuzzy Merchant as selling access points. Check the interaction offered in your client.
Use the selling interface when you want a return for unwanted gear.
Do not mistake the removal screen for a sale.
Open recycling from a Bonfire
Reported route: a dated secondary Bonfire guide describes activating the fire, interacting again, then choosing Salvage to sell gear.
1. Activate the fire if needed
Read the interaction shown in your client.
The historical example reads “Light the Bonfire.”
For an already lit fire, use the interaction shown by your client to open its menu. Follow your own control prompt rather than assuming a keyboard binding.
2. Find Salvage in the menu
Continue to the Recycle Store checks.
Use for gear that still needs identification.
Do not confuse this with Salvage.

Choose Salvage, then review the Recycle Store selection and return preview before confirming anything.
If the menu differs: stop and read the current options. These images establish a historical menu example, not a verified route to a particular Bonfire, a merchant location or a current platform-specific control sequence.
Read the Recycle Store screen
The dated source shows selected items, filters and a coin amount beside the Recycle control. Read the item panel as well as the selection count in your client.
Confirm the title in your current client.
Filters do not decide what is safe to remove.
The source reports a Warren Gold Coin return.
Official Version 1.3 batch maximum.
Editorial: filters narrow what you see; they do not decide what is worth keeping. Review gear used by other characters or reserved for a comparison before selecting a batch.
Recognize the separate Discard screen
Confirm that this is the removal action.
Do not infer safety from a quick-selection control.
The dated guide distinguishes this from selling.
The source describes this action in the Bag menu. Its visible selection count must not be read as the Recycle Store batch limit.
Before you confirm a selection
Equipment you cannot use may need identification or a requirement check. Read the gear appraisal guide before deciding to remove it ›
- Keep candidates asideDecide which pieces you still need before building the removal selection.
- Inspect the selected batchRead the action title, each selected item and any return shown. If something is unclear, back out and compare first.
- Confirm your intentionProceed only when the selected action and items match your intention; do not assume an undo option.
For an uncertain item, note its name and your reason for keeping it. After a run, use the 999 Nights Planner to record what you observed. This guide does not rank items, calculate recycling returns or automate game actions.

Official v1.3 notes (August 18, 2026) establish the announced limit. Dated secondary equipment and Bonfire records supply the historical interface observations; their provenance remains in the internal evidence log without an outbound guide-site link.
