Your first sessions in NTE.

A practical starting routine: follow one goal, learn your characters, and keep track of what comes next.

1. Give your first session one goal

Your first-session routeEditorial planning sequence · not a quest walkthrough
  1. Choose one goal

Use the story objective already shown in your quest list.

  2. Follow its tutorial

If something is locked, check its unlock condition.

  3. Try one activity

Practise the controls or explore one area.

  4. Save your next step

Write down where to continue before logging out.

One goal is enough. Continue at your own pace; the game’s tutorial determines what is available.

NTE places you in Hethereau as an Anomaly Hunter working with Eibon. Exploration and city life sit alongside the supernatural investigations. That is the premise described by the official gameplay introduction; the routine below is our editorial advice.

Start with the story objective currently shown in your quest list. Follow its tutorial prompts before trying to assemble a full farming schedule. If a feature is unavailable, read its unlock condition and return to that requirement. A guide written for an established account can send a new player toward systems they cannot access yet.

Choose one stopping point: finish the current objective, try a newly introduced activity, or explore one area. Before logging out, write down the next step so your following session starts with a decision already made.

2. Understand an upgrade before committing

READ THE EFFECTWhat triggers it? How long does it last? Who benefits?

Check the actual change shown in your client before choosing an upgrade.

Try the controls and read the conditions before committing materials.

Read the character’s skill descriptions and try the controls before investing around a supposed role. Look for what actually triggers an effect, how long it lasts, and whether it helps the active character or teammates. A story description about protecting friends is not evidence of a shield skill.

When comparing an upgrade, check its required materials and the benefit displayed in your own client. Prefer one clear objective over spreading effort across every character at once. This is a budgeting habit, not a claim that a particular character or stat is optimal.

Worked example: read an equipment panel

Use the reading order below when checking an upgrade in your own client. The diagram preserves the dated observation without reproducing the creator's screen or calculation table.

  1. Top of the panel — item and level. The item is Fluff of Ferocity and the displayed level is 1/20. Match the item and its level before comparing two screenshots.
  2. Below Arc Effect — upgrade state. Find Knight’s Candy and Mixing 1. Record the effect’s upgrade state separately from the equipment level.
  3. Effect paragraph — trigger and duration. In this recorded panel, a critical hit triggers a CRIT DMG increase for 10 seconds. Read the condition as well as the bonus.
  4. End of the paragraph — stacking and refresh. The historical text allows up to 10 stacks and says triggering again resets the duration. These clauses matter when deciding what to observe during a test.

Repeat these checks against the text in your current client. For a comparison, record both loadouts and their upgrade states in the Build Comparison tool; keep the encounter and other conditions consistent. This historical observation is a reading exercise, not a reason to spend resources on this item.

For limited acquisition options, read the current in-game rules before spending. Check the featured item, deadline and whether progress carries over. Avoid treating a past banner guide as a current offer.

3. Build a routine you can finish

  1. Review the tasks and notices visible on your account. Pick those relevant to your current goal.
  2. Check any resource balances and limits shown in-game before selecting an activity. Do not assume every activity spends the same resource.
  3. Check event deadlines and claim conditions before leaving an activity.
  4. Record one next-session goal and any unanswered character or upgrade question.

Use the Daily Checklist to track this routine, then follow the independent Daily Routine Guide when you want the complete check, choose, schedule and closeout loop. Its Daily and Weekly groups are organizational labels, not a game reset schedule. Checkboxes stay in this browser and reset only when you clear that group or use Clear all; they do not sync with your game or another device.

From checks to a session plan

Once you have checked what is current, use this path to turn only the work you choose into one manageable session.

Turn your first checks into one sessionEverness Atlas onboarding path · three separate steps
  1. Confirm what is current

Read the objective, notice dates and visible limits in your own client.

  2. Review your open work

Use Planning Workspace to see validated local record counts; it does not copy record details.

  3. Build one session

Open Session Planner and manually enter the tasks and minutes you choose.

The arrows show where to go next. They do not transfer objectives, dates, quantities or estimates between tools. Read the Farming Priority Guide › for the full prioritization method.

4. Separate permanent progress from dated events

For a worked example with official gameplay images, read Shipwreck Salvage: collecting cargo and exchanging event currency. Check its dated window before using it.

Read the date, region and time zone attached to an event notice. A server-time deadline and a UTC+8 timestamp should not be interpreted as your computer’s local time. If a notice and the client disagree, check the newest official correction before planning around it.

Keep 999 Nights mode information separate from the Version 1.2 archive. An old reward window does not become current simply because its guide remains online. We have not verified a single reset time that applies to every NTE system. Read our reset-time guide for official examples.

5. Choose your next reference

  • Download, platforms & progress: official platform options, login methods and server boundaries.
  • NTE Glossary: source-linked explanations for Arc, Console, Limited Board, server time and other recurring terms.
  • Shinku profile: official character introduction and recorded story context.
  • Team Guides: recommendations are still in preparation.
  • Source Log: Confirmed means official or in-game evidence; Editorial means our advice; Reported is unconfirmed reporting; Unknown means evidence is missing.

This first guide helps you organize play. It is not a quest-by-quest walkthrough, reward calculator or character ranking.
